Hi everyone,

So clearly it has been quite some time since I have posted on here. Many things like college and work got in the way as well as some lack of motivation on my part.

I have passed all my final year exams and graduation is nearing, but rather than look for a job and by that I mean any job because I don’t have a clue of what I want to do.

Well I say ‘don’t’ but I do…

I am returning to education and pursuing my dream of becoming a Primary School teacher.

For those of you who are not from Ireland, to qualify as a Primary School teacher you need to get certain grades in your Leaving Cert exams to even get into college to become one. Alas, during my time at school I was not very good at the Irish language and as of such felt that I could and would never achieve this goal.

However, from some motivation and encouragement from those around me, I have decided to try and learn Irish and take an exam that I will hopefully pass and can finally apply to a Primary School teaching course, which I never really thought possible.

With that said, in my preparation for this exam I am brushing up on all things Irish language. Most things I am coming across, I never did in my 14 years of learning the language in school. I know that many other people like myself struggle with grasping the language so I am going to be uploading the notes that I make in hopes that it can help others whether they be going back to learn the language for fun, or if they are studying for their Junior/Leaving Cert.

On another note, I will say that there may be a mistake or two in these notes as there are very few resources I found online… and the language is hard as it is, so if anyone picks up any mistakes feel free to let me know so I can correct it!

Everyday Hero

A friend of mine is running in a marathon for the Beaumont Hospital Foundation and any donation would be amazing! Her goal is currently €500 and she still has a long way to go to achieve that goal. Even if you cannot donate you can help by sharing! The more people that know about Beaumont Hospital Foundation, the greater their impact, so spread the word by sharing the link with your friends and family.

Gender Netural Parenting is on the Rise

I simply love the fact that parents are now choosing to raise their children as gender neutral. SO many times have I been painting nails at work or doing face paint and when children are told they’re not allowed get certain things because of their gender is heart breaking. So many times have boys watched their sisters get their nails done or glitter tattoos and have stood there with an uneasy look on their face that gets worse when I ask if they would like something done too. Then comes the reaction from the parents that goes either two ways: Continue reading
