So clearly it has been quite some time since I have posted on here. Many things like college and work got in the way as well as some lack of motivation on my part.
I have passed all my final year exams and graduation is nearing, but rather than look for a job and by that I mean any job because I don’t have a clue of what I want to do.
Well I say ‘don’t’ but I do…
I am returning to education and pursuing my dream of becoming a Primary School teacher.
For those of you who are not from Ireland, to qualify as a Primary School teacher you need to get certain grades in your Leaving Cert exams to even get into college to become one. Alas, during my time at school I was not very good at the Irish language and as of such felt that I could and would never achieve this goal.
However, from some motivation and encouragement from those around me, I have decided to try and learn Irish and take an exam that I will hopefully pass and can finally apply to a Primary School teaching course, which I never really thought possible.
With that said, in my preparation for this exam I am brushing up on all things Irish language. Most things I am coming across, I never did in my 14 years of learning the language in school. I know that many other people like myself struggle with grasping the language so I am going to be uploading the notes that I make in hopes that it can help others whether they be going back to learn the language for fun, or if they are studying for their Junior/Leaving Cert.
On another note, I will say that there may be a mistake or two in these notes as there are very few resources I found online… and the language is hard as it is, so if anyone picks up any mistakes feel free to let me know so I can correct it!
